Security Patches
Security patches come out regularly for all operating systems as new vulnerabilities are discovered. Virus writers, trojan horse writers and hackers often use these vulnerabilities to comprimise computers and networks because they know that many people are lax about updating thier computers. This can lead to disasterous consequences leading to privelidge escelation, arbitrary code running on a comprimised machine or even allowing total control of the machine to be taken.
There are ways to keep you computers up to date automatically. In Windows, for example, client machines can use automatic updates, and servers can use Software Update Services and IS Systems can manage group policy to domains to impose these updates on client machines without the interaction, or interference, of users.
Please contact IS Systems to find out how vulnerable your system is and to learn ways you can create a saver network environment for you, your employees, and most of all, your data.
