EXECUTIVE INFORMATION SUMMARY

Want to know the value of your inventory? General Ledger Ratios? Cash, accounts receivable, or accounts payable balances? How about Friday afternoon's sales? Or the profit from product A compared to product B over the last two weeks? No problem. You won't have to dig for or calculate numbers. OPEN SYSTEMS® Accounting Software (OSAS) Executive Information Summary lets you know in a few moments just where your business stands and how well it's doing.

Access critical information from any application; display, review, and print it

EIS gives you the ability to consolidate, calculate, and display summary information based on data in files from other OSAS applications. You can quickly pull facts from any of these applications or vertical software modules, creating a "dashboard" (custom) screen. You can compare information across departments, companies, years, quarters, days, or even hours and minutes. Executive Information Summary (EIS) provides the ultimate in timely information.

You don't need to know how to use OSAS modules to use Executive Information Summary. You can display the desired information with a few keystrokes directly through the EIS menu screen. You can also access EIS with the F4 "Other Commands" function if you are using one of the OSAS modules.

OSAS EIS Offers Choices and Flexibility With These Key Features:
  • Create your own inquiries with minimal effort by taking advantage of the incredibly high flexibility of EIS. Over fifty preformulated programs and twelve predefined dashboards are also provided. They include Company Summary, Cash Requirements Forecast, Daily Statistics, AR Analysis, AP Analysis, Top 10 Customers, Top 10 Items, and Top 10 Vendors. You can modify the provided dashboards or create totally new ones.
  • Keep informed about your business on a daily basis and get period-to-date information. The Daily Statistics dashboard screen presents everything you need to know about open orders, backorders, quotes, entered invoices, cash receipts, open purchase orders, and checks being processed in either AP or Payroll. You can also obtain today's balance and the period-to-date balance.
  • The Accounts Receivable Analysis screen is a helpful dashboard which displays the current aging spread for your receivables. It displays history for sales, returns, taxes, freight, and miscellaneous charges. And, you can get information on payments received and discounts allowed. This dashboard calculates the average days to pay and the number of sales outstanding and it displays customer statistics.
  • Need statistics on your vendors? The Accounts Payable Analysis dashboard shows period-to-date and year-to-date history for invoices and payments, a current aging spread based on invoice date, and the value of invoices on hold. Some vendor statistics can be totaled for a more complete picture.
  • Find out who your key accounts are with the Top 10 Customers dashboard. With just a glance you can compare last year's top ten customers to this year's. Compare sales amounts from last year to those of this year to reveal new trends.
  • You can print out what's shown on the screen and save the information to a history file to retrieve later to help you analyze and recognize trends.
  • You never have to worry about who's reading or changing your information. The entire program, some screens, menus, and specific fields within screens can be protected by assigning access codes to individuals in your organization on a "need to know" basis.
  • Use the Dashboard Report to get the last calculated values for a range of dashboard screens.
  • You can easily compare the status of fields and determine financial progress; dashboard screens that have been saved as history files can be printed in report format.
  • You can see how a screen is laid out: the number, length, and location of fields. The Screen Definition List also shows you the formulas associated with each field. You can choose the detail you wish to see, including screen layout, fields in use, and field detail.
